Green tea makes you lose weight


  • Body than just weight. This argument will prove that there are natural ways to live healthily and lose weight, which includes green tea. Studies will be used that show positive effects of green tea that include physical activity and some that do not but still have shown a difference in weight.
  • A human’s body needs nutrients from food in order to function and fuel the body. Our body also needs exercise to keep us fit and active. There are many benefits to exercise not just to losing weight.
  • Everyone has a different body type and their bodies function differently. Everyone has different health problems as well and that can have an effect on the results a person receives from different approaches they take to lose weight. Green tea has been tested on animals and people of all different ages, races, and body types. In the studies, I have read the individuals that participated have been successful in weight loss.
  • And drinking green tea may even help you lose weight. The caffeine and catechins it contains have been shown to boost your metabolism and increase fat burning (9, 10 ). Overall, studies indicate that consuming green tea can help you burn an additional 75–100 calories per day ( 11 ).
  • Additional human studies have collectively found that taking 100–460 mg of EGCG together with 80–300 mg of caffeine for at least 12 weeks is linked to significant weight loss and reduction of body fat ( 12 ).
  • Green tea may provide an array of health benefits, including better sleep. However, drinking it at night, especially in the two hours preceding bedtime, may make it harder to fall asleep. It may also lead to more nighttime peeing, which can further reduce your sleep quality.
